King of the Hill is the most popular game mode of H1Z1 and plays in battle-royale mode similar to PUBG and Fortnite. While in early access, PC players can buy King of the Hill separate from the Just Survivor mode of the game. King of the Hill once reached the peak of #3 on Steam concurrent players chart with peak high of 150,000 players and had an average player count of 86,000 players per hour in July of 2017.

The massive success of H1Z1 was prior to unprecedented success of PUBG and Fortnite though. Analysis of Steam Charts reveal today that H1Z1 King of the Hill has the latest peak player count of 8,523 players and ranks #63 on Steam.
