BUNGIE CONFIRMS DESTINY 2 IS 30FPS ON XBOX ONE X

Bungie has established that Xbox One X won't run Destiny 2 at 60 frames per second.

Midst YouTube live at E3, Luke Smith, the design director for Bungie’s forthcoming shared-world shooter, assured Geoff Keighley that Destiny 2 will run at 30 frames per second on Xbox One X similar to PlayStation 4 Pro.

Any particular reason for Destiny 2 not running at 60 frames per second on Microsoft’s next $499 console has not been given by Bungie.

A month ago Smith declared to IGN that although Destiny 2 will support 4K on PS4 Pro, the game will be locked to 30fps due to CPU constraints. According to Smith, "The PS4 Pro is super-powerful, but it couldn't run our game at 60.”

Destiny 2 will be broadcasted on September 6 for PS4 and Xbox One users, two days before its declared scheduled date on September 8. In the meantime on October 24 the PC version of Destiny 2 which supports an uncapped frame rate will be released.
